With its generous dimensions of 340 × 190 cm and a variable height of approximately 180 to 275 cm, the BASANT offers reliable protection from sun, light rain, and wind. Its open design makes it perfect as a sunshade, awning, or privacy screen, creating an airy and comfortable living area right next to the vehicle.
For mounting on a vehicle, the BASANT features a keder strip in 5 mm and 7 mm sizes, approximately 200 cm long, which ensures a secure and stable connection via the keder rail. Alternatively, the sunshade can be attached to a roof rack using the included straps or set up completely freestanding with the provided poles. This offers maximum flexibility – regardless of vehicle type or parking location.
The package includes two perfectly fitting side panels, one for the wide side and one for the short side of the sunshade. These provide additional protection from wind, low sun, and prying eyes, and help to effectively extend the protected area depending on the setup, without compromising the open feel of the sunshade.
The outer fabric is made of recycled rPET polyester (68D) with a PU coating rated at 2,000 mm water column. The material is water-repellent, UV-resistant, and PFC-free, offering reliable protection from sun and light rain. An integrated mesh ventilation window allows air circulation under the sail but does not provide complete insect protection, as the BASANT is intentionally designed to be open. The sturdy frame, constructed of fiberglass and steel poles, ensures stability even in changing weather conditions.
With a weight of approximately 6.75 kg and a compact packing size of approximately 69 × 15 × 15 cm, the BASANT is easy to transport and space-saving to store – ideal for travel in a van, car or camper.
