The BAYU from TAMBU is an ultra-compact, lightweight bivouac tent for short trips, minimalist trekking, and spontaneous overnight stays outdoors. Thanks to its very low weight and small pack size, it fits easily into any backpack and is ideal for cycling, canoeing, bikepacking, or hiking trips.
With compact external dimensions of approximately 200 × 120 × 60–90 cm (L × W × H), the BAYU offers a sheltered sleeping space for up to 2 people. Its low profile ensures high wind stability and makes the tent particularly discreet and versatile – even on small pitches.
The generously sized double entrance with full-surface mesh allows for good air circulation and reliably protects against insects. Additionally, a permanently integrated ventilation system at the rear ensures a continuous supply of fresh air. This keeps the interior climate as comfortable as possible, even on warm nights.
The BAYU is designed as a single-walled bivouac tent. Due to its construction, condensation may occur under certain weather conditions. However, this effect can be significantly reduced by adequate ventilation – for example, through the open mesh door and the rear vent. Condensation is inherent to the design of this type of tent and does not constitute a product defect.
Made from 100% recycled rPET polyester derived from PET bottles, the BAYU, like all TAMBU tents, represents responsible outdoor equipment. The robust PE floor provides reliable protection against moisture and dirt, while small inner pockets offer space for personal items such as a smartphone or headlamp.
The included stuff sack is also made of recycled polyester and is water-repellent thanks to its PU coating – ideal for use on the go.
