The KUTIR from TAMBU is an uncompromisingly lightweight single-pole trekking tent for anyone who wants to travel with minimal gear. Weighing only about 1.9 kg and with a very compact pack size, it is ideal for bikepacking, backpacking trips, canoeing, or minimalist trekking.
Despite its lightweight construction, the KUTIR offers ample space for up to two people. The interior dimensions of approximately 230 × 120 × 90 cm allow for comfortable sleeping, while the exterior dimensions of approximately 260 × 130 × 100 cm ensure a streamlined and stable shape. The low profile and single-hoop construction make the tent particularly wind and storm resistant.
The design is deliberately kept simple: A single duralumin pole (Ø 8.5 mm) ensures quick assembly and disassembly – ideal when things need to move quickly on the go or the weather changes.
The inner tent is made almost entirely of fine mesh fabric, ensuring maximum ventilation and reliable insect protection on warm nights. In stable weather conditions, the KUTIR can also be used without the flysheet – perfect for summer nights under the stars. The integrated ceiling hook for a lamp adds extra convenience inside the tent.
The outer and groundsheet materials are made from recycled polyester derived from PET bottles. The groundsheet features a 5000 mm PU coating for reliable protection against moisture, while the flysheet, with a 3000 mm hydrostatic head, offers secure protection even in the rain. Even the carry bag is waterproof and made from recycled material.
With a pack size of approximately 42 × 13 × 13 cm, the KUTIR can easily be stored in a backpack or on a bicycle.
