The KUTIR is an ultralight and compact trekking tent for up to two people, specifically designed for minimalist outdoor adventures. Weighing only about 1.7 kg, it is ideal for backpacking trips, bikepacking, canoeing, or motorcycle tours where low weight, a small pack size, and quick setup are crucial.
The single-hoop construction allows for extremely quick and easy setup and takedown, while also ensuring a stable, aerodynamic tent shape. Combined with its low-profile design, the KUTIR proves particularly wind and storm resistant – a major advantage at exposed campsites.
The outer tent measures approximately 260 × 130 × 100 cm (L × W × H) and offers reliable weather protection. The inner tent, measuring approximately 230 × 120 × 90 cm, provides ample sleeping space for two people and makes efficient use of the available room. Despite its minimalist design, the sleeping area remains functional and comfortable.
The entrance is equipped with a mosquito net door. The outer tent door opens to the side, providing access, while the mosquito net ensures good ventilation and reliable protection against insects. Permanent ventilation openings further contribute to a comfortable tent climate.
The inner tent – except for the floor – consists almost entirely of fine mesh fabric (mosquito netting). This creates excellent air circulation, which proves particularly beneficial on warm nights. In dry weather, the KUTIR can also be used without the outer tent, allowing an unobstructed view of the starry sky.
The outer and inner tents, as well as the groundsheet, are made from recycled polyester derived from PET bottles. The groundsheet has a PU coating, providing reliable protection against rising damp. The outer tent has a hydrostatic head of approximately 3,000 mm, and the groundsheet over 5,000 mm. All materials are PFC-free.
The inner tent features a ceiling hook for a lamp and practical attachment points for equipment. Reflective details on zipper flaps, guy lines, and components increase visibility in low-light conditions.
With a very compact pack size of only approximately 41 × 12 × 12 cm, the KUTIR can be easily stowed in a backpack or luggage. The stuff sack, made of recycled polyester, features an extra-wide opening and integrated compression straps, allowing the tent to be packed away quickly and easily.
