The SURAN 2 is a lightweight trekking tunnel tent for anyone who values low weight, compact pack size, and reliable performance while hiking, trekking, or on minimalist camping trips. The tent offers space for up to two people and is ideal for trips where every gram counts.
With external dimensions of approximately 240 × 155 × 100 cm (L × W × H), the SURAN 2 remains compact and space-saving, yet still offers ample room for a comfortable sleeping area. The sleeping cabin measures approximately 225 × 135 × 90 cm and is ideally suited for two people. The tunnel construction, which narrows towards the rear, reduces material usage and weight, making the tent the perfect companion for your travels.
The outer tent is made from recycled ripstop polyester derived from PET bottles and features a silicone coating. This coating provides increased tear resistance, improved waterproofing with a 3,000 mm water column, higher UV resistance, and a long lifespan. The groundsheet, made from robust recycled polyester, offers reliable protection from moisture with a 5,000 mm water column. All materials are PFC-free.
Another sustainable feature is the deliberately undyed tent material. By foregoing dyes, water, energy, and chemicals are saved during production – another step towards environmentally conscious camping at TAMBU.
Two opposing permanent vents ensure continuous ventilation of the sleeping area. The side entrance allows for easy access to the tent. Inside, there is a ceiling hook for a lamp and a practical inner pocket for storing small items such as a headlamp or smartphone. The sleeping compartment is equipped with fine mesh fabric (mosquito net) and offers reliable insect protection while maintaining good air circulation.
With a net weight of only approximately 2.2 kg and a very compact pack size of approximately 38 × 14 × 14 cm, the SURAN 2 can be easily transported in a backpack or motorcycle case. The lightweight, break-resistant aluminum frame ensures stability at a low weight and allows for quick setup. Guy lines, pegs, and a matching stuff sack made of recycled material are included.
