The TARA 1 by TAMBU is a compact and well-designed solo trekking tent for anyone who wants to travel light without sacrificing comfort and weather protection. Whether on foot, by bike, or motorcycle – the slim tunnel design ensures stability with low weight and an aerodynamic shape in the wind.
With internal dimensions of approximately 250 × 190/60 × 80 cm (L × W × H), the tent offers ample space for one person and their gear. The width tapers from the more generous head area to the narrower foot end, while the height in the head area is about 80 cm and decreases towards the rear. The flysheet measures approximately 290 × 220 × 90 cm (L × W × H) and creates a sheltered entrance area in front of the sleeping compartment. Despite its robust construction, the TARA 1 remains pleasantly light with a weight of approximately 2.2 kg and can be compactly transported with a packed size of approximately 43 × 15 × 15 cm.
The front entrance can be set up as a small sun or rain canopy with optional pitching poles (not included). This creates a sheltered area for sitting, cooking, or relaxing – ideal for changeable weather.
For warm nights, the TARA 1 offers additional flexibility: The flysheet can either be completely removed or opened only over the sleeping area. This way, you remain protected by the integrated mosquito net while enjoying an unobstructed view of the sky and stars.
Inside, there is a small practical storage area in the head area for a lamp, smartphone, or personal items. Outside the entrance, a sewn-in ground sheet provides a clean storage area under the flysheet – perfect for shoes, a backpack, or wet gear.
The flysheet is made of recycled rPET ripstop polyester with a PU coating (3000 mm water column), while the floor reliably protects against moisture with 5000 mm. Aluminum poles and PFC-free materials emphasize TAMBU's durable, sustainable approach.
TAMBU – connect to nature.
