The TARA 2 from TAMBU is your light and well-designed trekking tent for two-person tours – perfect for trekking, bikepacking, or motorcycle trips. The sleek tunnel construction ensures stability with low weight and an aerodynamic shape that offers reliable protection outdoors.
With internal dimensions of approximately 250 × 220/120 × 90 cm (L × W × H), the tent provides ample space for two people and their gear. The width tapers from the more generous head area to the narrower foot end, while the height in the head area is about 90 cm and decreases towards the back. The flysheet measures approximately 290 × 250 × 100 cm (L × W × H) and creates a protected entrance area in front of the sleeping compartment. Weighing approximately 2.6 kg and with a packing size of about 44 × 16 × 16 cm, the TARA 2 remains pleasantly portable for longer tours.
The front entrance can be set up as a small sunshade or rain cover with optional pitching poles (not included). This creates a protected area for sitting, cooking, or relaxing – ideal in changeable weather.
For warm nights, the TARA 2 offers additional flexibility: the rear part of the flysheet can be rolled up, leaving only the mosquito net inner tent. This allows you to enjoy maximum ventilation and an open feel, while remaining protected from insects.
Inside, the distinctive shape of the inner tent in the head area provides a small storage space for a lamp or personal items. Outside, at the side entrance, a sewn-in area with a groundsheet offers a clean storage area under the flysheet – ideal for shoes or a backpack.
The flysheet is made from recycled rPET ripstop polyester with a PU coating (3000 mm water column), while the floor reliably protects against moisture with 5000 mm. Aluminum poles and PFC-free materials underscore TAMBU's commitment to durability.
